Asher boys upend Tupelo

TUPELO — With three players scoring in double figures, Asher raced to a 54-39 victory over Tupelo Friday night.
The Indians (4-2) got 22 points from Matt Johnson, 15 from Derek Claytor and 10 from Zach Fowler. Fowler also dished out nine assists.
Asher never trailed after jumping out to a 12-5 lead after one quarter.
In the opener, Asher’s girls fell to 1-4 with a 67-18 setback to Tupelo.
Shanna Davidson was high for Tupelo with 23 points while Brandi Doshier led Asher with six.
Both Asher teams will entertain Earlsboro Tuesday night.
