Most of the state's high school football championships will be held at Oklahoma State University through 2013.

The Oklahoma Secondary School Activities Association's board of directors voted Tuesday to approve a proposal by OSU to host the games at Boone Pickens Stadium at no cost to the OSSAA.

Under the proposal, five of the OSSAA's eight championship games would be played at OSU this year in the newly renovated stadium.

From 2010 through 2013, OSU would host six of the title games, with three games played on two separate weekends.

OSU has frequently hosted prep playoff games in past years, including the Class 6A title game last year.

The OSSAA has eight classes of football, including two for eight-man teams.
