It’s official. Meeker’s Bulldogs will be playing at Heritage Hall Friday night in the opening round of the Class 2A playoffs.
Wednesday, the Oklahoma Secondary Schools Activities Association denied an appeal by the Jones Longhorns. The OSSAA ruled last Thursday that the Longhorns employed an ineligible player and would have to forfeit six games, five of which were non-district affairs.
With that ruling, Meeker became the fourth and final member of District 2A-2 to move to playoff status.
Had the OSSAA ruled in favor of Jones Wednesday, Meeker would have been onced again ousted from the playoff field.
