Prague girls move to 18-1

The second-ranked (Class 3A) Prague girls got double-figure scoring from three players Friday night to knock off 18th-ranked, Class 4A McLoud by a 53-44 margin.

Brooke Watkins fueled Prague with 15 points. Whitney Stotler came in with 12 and Heather Farrill chipped in 11. Teammate Corbin Coker knocked down two treys.

Prague raised its record to 18-1 with its 10th straight triumph.

For McLoud, now 12-7, Jordan Murphy posted 14 points and Emily Miller came in with nine.

Earlier in the year, McLoud lost a 28-point decision to Prague.  

In the boys’ game, Prague raised its record to 12-7 with a 72-52 win over McLoud after leading 39-19 at the intermission.

Tyler Ouderkirk was Prague’s leading scorer with 19 points. Teammates Darnel Embry and Gage Auld poured in 16 and 10 points, respectively. Gage Hamm recorded two field goals from 3-point range.

Prague coach David Day employed 16 players and 12 scored.

McLoud, 3-16, received 10 points from Austin Carroll and eight points from Jacob Magruder. Carroll had two of McLoud’s three treys.
Prague will play Tuesday at Seminole and Jones will be at McLoud.
