Second-ranked Prague girls blast Stroud

The Prague Lady Red Devils made short work of their rival from the north Tuesday night, ripping the Stroud Lady Tigers 64-29.
“Our defense dominated the game,” said Prague head coach Jay Depanion. “We played really strong tonight and all of the girls got to play in the game.”
Prague led 13-7 after the first quarter, then out-scored Stroud 20-6 in the second quarter for a 33-13 lead.
Heather Farrill led the Lady Red Devil charge with 21 points and hit two 3-pointers. Alex Tilton added 15 and Brooke watkins accounted for 14 points for Prague.
The win was Prague’s ninth in a row and ran its record to 17-1.
The Lady Red Devils are ranked second in Class 3A and will travel to McLoud Friday night.
Stroud was led in scoring by Payton Scott with 14 points.
Stroud’s boys earned a split in the second game, edging Prague 45-44.
Prague had the last shot of the contest but missed an effort from the corner. Prague collared the rebound but couldn’t get a shot off prior to the final buzzer.
Darnel Embry of Prague (11-7) was the game’s top scorer with 21 points. Tyler Ouderkirk finished with eight.
Blake Gordon was high for Stroud with 18 points.
Prague will play Friday night at McLoud.
