Lions secure 2A-5 title

 Brandon Cummings had a pair of touchdown runs and one TD pass as Chandler secured the District 2A-5 championship Friday night with a 35-14 road win at Eufaula.
Chandler, which started the season 0-3, won six out of its last seven regular-season games and is 6-4 heading into a home playoff game next Friday.
The Lions were in control throughout against the Ironheads, leading 21-0 at halftime and 28-0 in the third quarter.
Cummings opened the scoring in the first quarter with a 3-yard TD run and J.K. Waldman ran in the 2-point conversion.
In the second quarter, Cummings had a 2-yard touchdown run and Chance Rich scored on a 62-yard dash.
Cummings’ TD pass was a 13-yarder to Waldman in the third quarter. Cummings also kicked three extra points.
Aaron Fox completed Chandler’s scoring with a 7-yard run in the fourth quarter.
The Lions had 50 rushes for 300 yards. T.J. Tillis was Chandler’s top rusher with 123 yards on 21 carries.
Eufaula (2-5 in district, 2-8 overall) was held to 130 total yards.
The Ironheads got 96 yards passing and only 34 on the ground.
Chandler will begin the Class 2A playoffs at home against Hartshorne, which beat Antlers, 49-7, in a regular-season finale Friday.
