With deer season already somewhat starting and gun season just around the corner, food safety is always something you should keep in mind.
Wild game, first because of the harvest method and second because of certain
meat qualities, needs to be handled properly before eating. The Pottawatomie
County OSU Cooperative Extension Service will be holding a ³Field to Table²
session 6:30 p.m. Nov. 13 to discuss field dressing to ensure safety and
quality, proper storage and handling of venison and tips for preparing
venison.
Each participant who RSVPs by Nov. 10 will receive a newly release DVD
produced by the OSU Extension Service.
