SHAWNEE, Okla. —

Through 12 games, Oklahoma City Yard Dawgz defensive back Fred Shaw ranks third in the interception department of the Arena Football2 League.
Shaw, a Shawnee High School product in his fourth year in the league, has eight interceptions. He trails only league-leader Micha Robinson of the WB Scranton Pioneers with 11 and William Mulder of the Kentucky Horsemen with nine.
Shaw has netted 59 yards in interception returns with the longest 25 yards.
The 200-pound Shaw has also recorded 53 tackles, 19 of which have been unassisted.
Oklahoma City, at 7-5, is second in the Central Division of the National Conference. The Tulsa Talons are in first place in the Central at 11-1, including a 75-56 victory over the Yard Dawgz.
The Yard Dawgz have captured three straight victories, including a 93-41 victory over visiting Corpus Christi Saturday night.
During the three-game winning streak, which came on the heels of a five-game losing skid, the Yard Dawgz have also notched victories over the Arkansas Twisters (56-54 on the road) and the Milwaukee Iron (63-28 at home).
Oklahoma City’s next action will be Friday night at 9 at Spokane.
The Yard Dawgz have one home game remaining on the regular-season schedule — the Bossier Shreveport Battlewings on July 11.
