Remington Park’s top official says the track has changed to a Friday-through-Monday racing schedule for the upcoming thoroughbred racing meet.
Last year, the track used a Thursday-through-Sunday thoroughbred racing schedule. General Manager Scott Wells said Wednesday the change was made to allow Remington Park races to be featured more prominently on simulcasts.
He says that Remington Park will have the highest-quality racing signal in North America on Mondays, which should attract attention from horseplayers.
The thoroughbred meet will start Aug. 21 and will run through Dec. 13. The first group of horses stabled at the track for the meet began training on Wednesday.
