SASAKWA —

SASAKWA — Macomb opened its season Thursday night, and started off on the wrong foot with a 54-8 loss to Sasakwa. The game was mercy-ruled with seven minutes left.
The Hornets (0-1) gave up 30 points in the first quarter and trailed 42-8 at halftime. They scored their only touchdown on a 60-yard pass from Eddie Howell to James Joseph. Joseph then ran in the 2-point conversion.
