Four members of Shawnee’s Team Crain captured championships Saturday at the 2011 USPF 14th annual Crain Powerlifting-Bench Press-Deadlift Open.

In the 165-pound masters division, Chris Daniel was first with a total lift of 1,155 pounds — a 420 squat, 285 bench press and 450 deadlift.

Morris Burns, competing in the age 75-79 open deadlift 181-pound class, recorded a 210-pound effort. That was a state record for his age group.

In the open women’s division, Jessica Severson was named the outstanding lifter with a 535-pound total — 100 squat, 160 bench press and 275 deadlift.

In the super heavyweight class, Joe Davis came in first in the open bench press with a 410-pound accomplishment.

Team Crain also had a second-place finisher as Royden Oakley finished with a 1,580-pound total in the 275-pound open class — a 520 squat, 405 bench press and 275 deadlift.
