BEGGS — Jack Gray ran for three touchdowns and passed for another as Chandler walloped Beggs 47-14 in District 2A-5 action Friday night.
Gray, the Lions’ senior quarterback, had 149 rushing yards and 115 through the air while keeping Chandler undefeated at 6-0 (3-0 in district).
Chandler’s first score was Gray’s 54-yard TD toss to Andrew Schumacher. Gray followed that with a 15-yard TD run in the second quarter.
Johnny Morton gave the Lions another rushing touchdown before halftime when he reached the end zone from 36 yards out.
Beggs (3-3, 1-2) got its only first-half score on Kristin Crawford’s 12-yard TD catch from Ryan Russell.
Leading 21-7 at the half, Chandler began to pull away in the third quarter. Gray had a 70-yard TD sprint and a 5-yard scoring run.
Brandon Cummings’ 3-yard TD run and Davin Perkins’ 6-yard scoring run completed the Lion blowout.
Morton finished as Chandler’s leading rusher with 159 yards on 12 carries.
The Lions will be on the road for their next game Thursday at Holdenville.
