OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. —

OKLAHOMA CITY — Eight Dale runs in the fifth inning brought an early and happy end to the Pirates’ Class A semifinal against Ft. Cobb Friday.
Dale moved into today’s final with an 11-0 win over the Mustangs in five innings at Dolese Park in Oklahoma City.
The Pirates had scored two runs in the second inning and one more in the fourth before their fifth-inning outburst.
“It was our third time through the lineup,” Dale head coach Jerry Sanford said. “We got to hittin’ it pretty good.”
Dalton Streber did the most hitting. He went 3-for-3 with a double. Teammates Turner Coon and Ty Flewallen were both 2-of-4. Both of Coon’s hits were doubles.
Pirate pitcher Dustin Sanders improved to 7-0 with the abbreviated shutout. He scattered three hits and issued three walks with one strikeout.
Dale (30-4) will try for the Class A championship today at 2:30 p.m. against either Verden or Oktaha.
