Three Trojans recorded double figures Thursday night as Seminole State College nipped visiting Western State College 67-63.
The Trojans raised their overall record to 7-15 and their conference mark to 5-7.
Brandon Caporale was Seminole State’s top scorer with 15 points. Teammates Reed Johnson and JoVaughn Love added 12 and 10 points, respectively.
Although Western State hit 61 percent of its first-half shots from the floor, Seminole State held a 32-31 intermission advantage — thanks to six 3-point field goals.
Western State posted 14 turnovers in the opening half.
Seminole State concluded the night with 10 successes from beyond the 3-point line — with Johnson notching three.
Dante Lewis was Seminole State’s leading rebounder with 10.
Western State finished with 26 turnovers.
Seminole State’s next action will be Monday night at 8 at home against Connors State.
