Back by popular demand, freestyle cage fighting returns to FireLake Grand Casino.
Several fighters will converge on the casino, located on Interstate 40 at Exit 178, as the event begins at 7 p.m. Saturday.
“We are excited to have special guest Nick Diaz,” said Brad Peltier, director of marketing for FireLake Grand Casino.
“He has faced some of the best fighters in the world,” Peltier said of Diaz. “He is considered one of the most dangerous in his weight class. ‘Bad Boy’ Diaz combines Jiu-Jitsu with a lethal punch. This is a great opportunity for fans to shake his hand and get his autograph.”
The fight card for this event includes 10 fights and many Oklahomans.
For the 205-pound category, Mike Queen (2-5-0) from Harrah is looking to add another win to his record. He faces fellow Oklahoman Bill Albrecht (7-6-0) from Durant.
The female title fight for the 115-pound category features Lynn “Lights Out” Alvarez (4-1-0) from Las Vegas, Nev., and Shoni Esquiro (0-1-0) from Eugene, Ore.
Other Oklahoma fighters include Garrick Landis (2-1-0) from Tuttle, who will face Josh Williams (2-2-0) from Norman in the 155-pound category. Dropping a few pounds to the 135-pound fight, Ricky Bowen (1-0-0) from Pauls Valley will meet Tony Quintero (2-0-0) from Harrah.
Both fighters are undefeated.
Tickets are available now at FireLake Grand Casino’s gift shop, by calling 405-96-GRAND or at www.firelakegrand.com.
