Tecumseh’s Atchley signs with Baker

Tecumseh’s Blaine Atchley signed Wednesday to play football at Baker University in Baldwin City, Kan., Tecumseh head coach Greg George said.

Atchley, a 6-3, 270-pound senior, served as an offensive and defensive lineman for the Savages during the 2011 season. Tecumseh, a member of District 4A-2, recorded a 4-6 record and went 3-4 in the district, closing out the season with a 32-7 win over 4A-2 member Santa Fe South.

Atchley was among 36 players to sign with Baker on National Signing Day. The Baker Wildcats are members of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) and the Heart of America Athletic Conference.
