Pritchard ignites Tigers to ninth straight triumph

Ignited by a 167-yard rushing performance by talented senior Cody Pritchard, second-ranked, Class A Stroud blistered Minco 48-8 in a non-district outing Friday night.
Pritchard, who carried the ball 13 times, tallied four touchdowns. He opened the scoring with a 40-yard run in the first quarter.
After quarterback Andrew Miller made it 14-0 with a 21-yard ramble, Pritchard scored from 4 yards out to give the Tigers a 21-0 advantage after one quarter.
Pritchard’s 11-yard touchdown run provided the only second-quarter scoring as Stroud took a 28-0 lead into the intermission.
Stroud concluded its scoring with three touchdowns in the third quarter.
Juliano Barsin launched the second-half scoring with a 39-yard run and Pritchard followed with a 43-yard rushing TD to make it 40-0.
Jeremy Knipp closed out the Stroud scoring on a 36-yard run. Blake Gordon then caught a 2-point conversion pass from Jeff Windt.
Minco avoided a shutout with a fourth-quarter touchdown against Tiger reserves.
Stroud, 9-0 overall, accumulated 392 rushing yards on 38 carries. Miller completed four of his 10 aerials for 93 yards with Austin Billingslea making two of the catches for 48 yards.
Knipp gained 43 yards rushing on two carries.
Stroud intercepted four passes with Billingslea hauling in two. Shane Pennock and Pritchard posted an interception apiece.
Cody Williams of Stroud notched a fumble recovery.
Minco fell to 3-6 with the loss.
Stroud, 7-0 in district play, can record a perfect regular season with a win at Dibble Friday night.
