Moreland posts 69 at tourney

In his first appearance at a Junior PGA tournament, Shawnee’s Dillion Moreland took first place Monday in the 16-18 year-old division at the Cushing Country Club course.
Moreland recorded a 69 to finish five strokes ahead of Parker Dolezal and Josh Martin.
With his championship round, Moreland qualified for the Tournament of Champions July 30-31 in Broken Arrow.
In the 14-15 division, Daniel Langley of Shawnee came in fifth with an 83, 10 strokes back of champion Nick Tanner at 73. Skyler Patton was second with a 74.
Langley also qualified for the Tournament of Champions in Broken Arrow.
Shawnee product Kursten Mills, competing in the 14-15 girls division, placed fifth with a 97.
Brady Skillings, participating in 12-13 boys, notched a fifth-place finish with an 89.
