KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) — If Saturday’s loss to Missouri turns out to be his last game at Kansas, Mark Mangino says he’ll go out with no regrets.
After losing 41-39 to Missouri on Saturday, the embattled coach said he still plans to return next year in spite of an internal investigation which has revealed many negative comments by former players. Anyone wondering about his chances of returning should be ask the people who will make the decision, Mangino said.
He also said he sees no need to change his coaching style.
The Jayhawks (5-7, 1-7 Big 12) ended the season on a seven-game losing streak after starting off 5-0. Mangino is 50-48 in eight seasons.
