Shawnee has tough tourney day

Shawnee’s wrestlers would just as soon forget Saturday’s outing at the Tulsa Kelley Tournament.

Shawnee went 0-3 in the consolation semifinals, then added another 0-3 outing in the finals.

Kory Loveland, Shawnee’s 120-pound finalist, dropped a 9-2 decision to Broken Arrow’s Caleb Clark. At 138 pounds, Davey Dolan of Berryhill pinned Daylan Stuteville of Shawnee in 5:56. In the 220-pound championship match, Shawnee’s Mike Womack dropped a 3-1 decision to Michael Dickerson in triple overtime.

In the consolation semifinals, Clayton Stafford (132) lost a 6-4 decision to Dominik Keeling of Jenks and SHS entry Tristain Cain was pinned by Mannford’s Jon Carter in 3:36 of a 160-pound matchup.

Heavyweight Riley Greenlee of Shawnee was pinned by Okmulgee’s Earnest Woodruff in 1:32.
