Top-ranked Oklahoma City scored the first nine points of the game and never looked back, beating Oklahoma Baptist in Shawnee 102-49 Thursday in a Sooner Athletic Conference encounter.

OBU didn’t get its first field goal until the 10:02 mark of the first half when Ashton Pittman sank a 3-pointer to make it an 18-5 game. OBU shot 16 percent from the field in the first half.

The Lady Bison trailed by as many as 34 in the first half before going into the halftime lockers down 49-18.

The Stars scored the last four points of the game to make the final margin the biggest spread of the night.

OCU was led by Lauren Gober with 23 points and 10 rebounds, topping a constellation of five Stars in double figures in the scoring column.
Charity Fowler had nine points to lead the Lady Bison.

OBU shot 26 percent from the field for the game.

The loss dropped OBU to 11-12 on the season and 7-8 in SAC action. Oklahoma City moves to 20-1 overall and 14-1 in the conference.

The Lady Bison play at Mid-America Christian University at 3 p.m. Saturday.
