MACOMB — Spurred by 18 points from James Turney and 11 from Cody Quirk, Macomb’s boys held off Bowlegs, 41-40, Friday night.
Macomb led 41-36 when Bowlegs got a free throw and follow-shot field goal right before the final buzzer.
Macomb is 4-13 on the season.
In the opener, Macomb’s girls jumped out to a 33-14 intermission advantage on the way to a 61-44 romp of Bowlegs.
Bethanie Hardy paced Macomb (13-7) with 23 points and teammate Tabitha DelosSantos added 13. Jamie Moon contributed nine points. DelosSantos also posted nine rebounds.
For Bowlegs, Whitney Canfield had 25 points, including three treys.
Macomb will entertain Strother in a Monday night makeup game. Macomb will entertain Asher Tuesday night.
