LUTHER – Twenty-nine turnovers were too much for McLoud’s girls to overcome Tuesday night as they dropped a season-opening 45-35 decision to Luther.
McLoud led 20-16 at the half but trailed 33-32 entering the final period.
Junior Johnie Hill was McLoud’s top scorer with 12 points. Senior Calyn Young produced seven points.
For Luther, Chase Weeks finished with 16 points.
McLoud will play at Little Axe Friday night.
