Meeker girls drop season opener

The Meeker Lady Bulldogs opened their 2008-09 season Tuesday night and found themselves on the short end of a 63-41 rout.
The Lady Bulldogs got off to an 8-6 lead through the first quarter but fell behind once the second session started and could never recover. They were outscored 23-10 in the second period and were down 29-18 at the break.
Holli Provence led Meeker with 13 points.
