Goforth atop point standings

Shawnee resident Kyle Goforth is atop the standings this week at Brill Motor Speedway with 1,255 total points as of July 11 in the modified division.
Goforth finished first in the second heat Saturday, while Chad Miller of Chandler came in fourth. Miller sits at eighth in the points standings with 566.
Shawnee resident Andrew Marshalla is seventh in the points standings of the two-barrel sprints division, while McLoud resident Cody Metscher is 10th. Marshalla finished fifth in Saturday’s first heat, and Metscher took first in the second heat.
A handful of Lincoln County residents occupy the first six spots of the E-modified standings, beginning with Chandler resident Tad Sweitzer in first. Sweitzer, who took sixth in Saturday’s third heat, holds 1,326 points in the standings.
Fellow Chandler residents Mark Robinson, Steve Robinson, Brandon Cross and Chris Taylor hold second through fifth place, respectively, and Wellston’s Don Chesser is in sixth.
Matt Mobley of Chandler is in 10th place in the E-modified points standings.
Steve Robinson, who holds 1,257 points in the standings, took second in the first heat Saturday, while Taylor took fourth. Taylor has 1,004 points.
Mark Robinson, with 1,285 points, finished first in Heat 2. Perry Colby of Seminole finished third, ahead of Cross, who holds 1,211 points in the E-modified standings.
Chesser took first place in Heat 3 Saturday, and has 1,000 points. Mobley, who now has 520 points, finished second in the same race.
James Friend of Chandler came in fifth.
Prague’s Leroy Burger was second in the first mini stock heat race Saturday, and currently rests in fourth place with 1,164 points. Behind Burger at fifth, with 1,024 points, is Kendrick resident Jay Caraveau.
Caraveau came in fourth in Saturday’s first heat.
Chandler’s Colt Goodman, with 1,245 points and a second-place heat 3 finish Saturday, holds fourth place in the factory stocks standings. Fellow Chandler resident Chad Weber finished took first in his heat race, and sits in seventh place in the standings with 1,189 points.
Cromwell’s Brian Wolfe is fifth in the factory stocks standings with 1,213 points following a first-place Heat 2 finish Saturday.
Justin Tucker of Meeker and Steve Perkins of Wellston are eighth and ninth, respectively, in the factory stocks division. Tucker came in second in Saturday’s opening heat and holds 882 points, while Perkins came in third in Heat No. 3 and accumulated 848 points.
