SHAWNEE, Okla. —

Oklahoma Baptist University’s two-time All-America first-baseman Josh Collazo has signed a professional contract with the Shreveport-Bossier Captains of the American Association.
The Captains’ roster includes two other Sooner Athletic Conference products — Jakob Cunningham of Lubbock Christian and B.J. Wheeler of Oklahoma City.
Collazo is OBU’s second two-time baseball All-America and the first since Gene Hacker in 1964 and 1965.
Collazo belted a school-record 24 home runs after establishing the record last year with 22. He also led OBU with a .419 batting average and 69 RBIs. Collazo was a first-team All-SAC selection.
Collazo ends his two-year career with the Bison with school records for season (24) and career (46) home runs; season RBIs (100); and season runs scored (79). He is a two-time All-SAC, 2008 SAC Player of the Year and 2008 SAC Gold Glove first baseman.
Collazo also is third all time on OBU’s career batting average list at .420, and RBIs at 169.
