Lincoln County drivers head top-10 standings

A handful of Lincoln County drivers, led by Chandler’s Tad Sweitzer, have control of the top-10 points standings of the e-modified division after Saturday’s races at Brill Motor Speedway.

Sweitzer holds 2,387 points after his third-place finish in Heat 1 Saturday, and fellow Chandler residents Steve Robinson and Mark Robinson are second and third in the standings, respectively. Steve Robinson took second in the third heat and holds 2,299 points, and Mark

Robinson took first in Heat 4 and holds 2,189 points.

Wellston’s Don Chesser, with a fourth-place Heat 1 finish, is fourth in the standings with 2,028 points.

Chandler’s Brandon Cross has 1,852 points and is fifth in the standings after finishing first in the Heat 1 race Saturday.

Fellow Chandler residents Chris Taylor and Matt Mobley are eighth and ninth in the standings, respectively. Taylor took fifth in the second heat Saturday, while Mobley came in third.

Glen Wiley of Wellston took third in the third heat of Saturday’s e-modified races.
Shawnee’s Kyle Goforth is first in the modified division points standings with 2,302 points, and Cromwell’s Brian Wolfe is fifth with 1,237 points. Goforth came in first in the Heat 2 race Saturday, and Wolfe came in fourth in the Heat 3 race.

Wolfe also holds 1,933 points and seventh place in the factory stocks division after taking fifth in the second heat race of that division Saturday.

Prague residents Leroy Burger and Rick Baker are second and third, respectively, in the mini stocks standings. Burger finished third in Heat 1 Saturday and holds 2,222 points, while Baker took fifth in the second heat and holds 2,145 points.

Jay Caraveau of Kendrick is fourth in the mini stocks standings with 1,745 points after his second-place Heat 1 finish.

Shawnee’s Tony Comerate came in sixth in Heat 1 of Saturday’s mini stocks races.
In the factory stocks division, Chandler’s Chad Weber is third with 2,229 points after a second-place finish in Heat 2. Colt Goodman of Chandler is fifth with 2,051 points after taking third in Heat 3.

Steve Perkins of Wellston is eighth and Justin Tucker of Meeker is ninth in the factory stocks standings. Perkins holds 1,424 points, and Tucker holds 1,380 after a fourth-place Heat 3 finish Saturday.

Jeffery Schmidt of Wellston finished fourth in Heat 1 of the factory stocks races, while Cody Osburn of Chandler came in first in the second heat.

James Gilliam of Shawnee finished second in Saturday’s Heat 2 race of the mini sprints division.
