The Wildcats (0-1) didn’t get off to the start they wanted as they upended by Lone Grove.
Down 6-0 in the second quarter, Bethel tied it up on a 15-yard run from Josh Boatman in the second quarter, but missed the extra point and an opportunity to take the lead.  Boatman was the Wildcats’ bright spot with 21 carries for 117 yards.
Lone Grove scored again to go up 12-6 at halftime, then added another TD and a 2-point conversion to increase its lead to 20-6. Casey Coy returned the ensuing kickoff 80 yards, trimming the deficit to 20-12. But the Longhorns scored twice in the fourth period to put the game away.

Maysville 17,
Meeker 14
The surrender of two safeties made a difference for the Bulldogs (0-1). They went down 9-0 after giving up  a 78-yard TD on a flea-flicker and a safety by way of a bad snap of a punt going out of the end zone.
Meeker got on the scoreboard when Shane Maddex returned an interception 52 yards in the second quarter. However, the Bulldogs were unable to make the 2-point conversion. They gave up another safety as Jackie Cloud got tackled in the end zone, and had fallen behind 17-6 by the third quarter.
A 12-yard by Tyler Jones, followed by a run from Byron Guiterrez, made it 17-14, where the score would end.

Bowlegs 22, Maud 13
The Tigers got off to a good start with as Jordy Garren scored on a 59-yard run on the first play of the game, but Bowlegs took over the rest of the way.
Bowlegs scored the next three TDs before Maud would add another score. That came by way of Cody Goff catching a 21-yard reception from Shane Bailey in the second quarter.
