ASHER – The Indians of Asher bombarded Mill Creek in both ends of a short Thursday twin bill. Asher posted a 20-3 decision in the 4 1/2-inning first game, then mauled the visitors 12-2 in 2 1/2 innings.
Asher notched 11 hits in the opener as Trent Boles led the way with three runs batted in on a single and double. A.J. Robbins, Aaron Pybas and Stevn Goodgion had two singles apiece.
C.J. Sisco, who gave up only one hit in three innings and fanned eight, got the victory. Asher got 12 runs in the second.
Damien Doshier got the second-game victory while Goodgion had a two-run double and Phillip Lamirand had a run-scoring single.
Asher (7-8) will be home against Varnum in a 4 p.m. doubleheader Tuesday.
