SHAWNEE, Okla. —

Oklahoma Baptist University put two players on the all-region second team for softball in Jayme Boyer and Jami Pate.
Boyer, who has now made the team all three years, was included this year as a utility player, having spent much of her time in right field this season in addition to her usual position as catcher.
Boyer hit .369 with nine home runs and 40 runs batted in. She also tied an NAIA record with three home runs in one game and, along with Stevens, became the first teammates in NAIA history to each hit three home runs in one game. With the addition of a long ball by Brittney Day, OBU set an NAIA record with seven home runs in one game.
Pate, OBU’s center fielder, made the team as an outfielder. She hit .342 with two home runs, 14 stolen bases and 26 RBI from the leadoff position.
