OKLAHOMA CITY — Explosive first innings were the order of the day for Dale Friday as it blistered Anadarko (14-6) and the Oklahoma City Broncos (13-1) at Hall of Fame Stadium.
Opposite Anadarko, Dale tallied seven runs in the top of the first inning. Anadarko scored all six of its runs in the bottom of the frame.
Dale added one run in the second, four in the third and two in the fourth.
Heading Dale’s 15-hit attack was sophomore Kassidy Sparks with four singles. Danielle Dockrey added three singles.
Leadoff batter Sam Barry, a sophomore, clubbed a solo home run, her fifth, on the first pitch of the game. Barry also hit a home run on the first pitch of Thursday’s game with Maud.
Ashley Sanford, in relief of McKenna Rosebure, didn’t give up a hit in three innings to take the win.
In the second game, Dale posted eight hits to go along with six walks and one hit batsman.
Sparks had two singles, Sanford blasted a 3-run triple and Jaelin Flewallen cracked a double.
Rosebure got the pitching win to go to 8-2.
Dale, 13-2, will play at 12:30 p.m. today in the finals of the Asher Tournament.
