3 killed in accident in Norman

Norman police have released the names of three people killed when their car went out of control and crashed into a tree in northeast Norman.

Police say 17-year-old Stephanie Masten, 19-year-old Stephen Tyler and 21-year-old Gaylon Phillips were killed in the crash early Sunday.

Police say 18-year-old Shelby Shea is hospitalized in serious condition with injuries suffered in the crash.

Investigators say the accident happened at 12:19 a.m. Sunday when the driver of the car the four were lost control and hit the tree.

Police say the cause of the crash is still under investigation.
