A Harrah woman has pleaded guilty to embezzling about $400,000 in life insurance funds intended for the son of a soldier who was killed in Iraq.

U.S. Attorney John Richter says 30-year-old Trisha Dawn Fish pleaded guilty Tuesday in federal court in Oklahoma City. She faces up to five years in prison.

Authorities say Army Specialist Jeffrey Henthorn and Fish married had a child in 1998 and divorced in 2000.

Henthorn was killed in February 2005 and had designated his son as the sole beneficiary of his life insurance. Court papers show Fish went to Kickapoo Tribal Court in McLoud in March 2005 and sought to be appointed her son's guardian and fiduciary.

Prosecutors say Fish embezzled and spent approximately $400,000 in less than a year.
