Broadway Street is left with the remnants of the old Shawnee trolly system. A-Tech Paving crews have removed railroad ties and trolly ties from the center of the street. The total street improvement project will be placement of new base material, milling of existing surface and resurfacing with new asphalt paving. It is anticipated to be completed in five weeks.
