This area is so blessed to have such an excellent doctor and good man as Dr. Scott Stewart. In this fast-paced, busy world, it is hard to talk to people who actually care or have time to even talk.
We are patients of Dr. Stewart. He happens to be the most caring, compassionate physician. My husband and I enjoy talking to him and we like to see the sparkle of love and pride when he mentions his wife, three sons and parents.
He loves the Lord and lives it. He is such a strong Christian man. There is an old saying that goes “when God measures a man, He puts the tape around the heart.” Wow, what a big heart our doctor has.
We never know in what ways our lives may touch others and Dr. Stewart is an example of God’s love to us. He not only prescribes pills, but a scripture, pat on the back and loads of patience. Believe me, when I put my foot in my mouth, it takes patience. He just smiles and goes on. We like the boys’ pictures and his staff shows warmth and smiles to everyone. They are always friendly and kind like our doctor.
I remember the old family doctor who treated your whole family — grandparents to babies. When you called the doctor’s office on the phone, you went through “central,” the operator that connected your calls. It is great to know that we have family doctors in this time who do remember your name and families and ask about them. How we love for anyone to ask about our grandchildren, especially.
An old time prayer reminds us of Dr. Stewart and his life:
Lord, let my passage through this world glow and sparkle sometimes,
So those who watch may say,
“Ah! Look, did you see that?”
Meaning they have glimpsed a fragment of your glory.
Also, that best portion of a good man’s life,
His little nameless, unremembered acts of kindness and of love.
Heroes are larger than life!
What a great hero Dr. Scott Stewart is. Thanks for everything. May God richly bless you.
