Walk to School month

The St. Gregory’s University baseball team recently combined with Will Rogers Elementary School to celebrate International Walk to School Month. SGU players escorted the children during their mile-long journey along Union Street in Shawnee. The Cavalier baseball team is also directly involved at Will Rogers Elementary with the “Fitness Buddies” program. During this daily program, players accompany the students prior to the start of school to promote personal health through physical activity.
