Robert E. Gentry, 86, lifelong resident of Shawnee, Oklahoma, passed away Sunday, March 27, 2022. Robert was born June 4, 1935, to Herman and Sarah (Canada) Gentry.

Robert attended Dale Schools and was active in FFA. Robert farmed for a living but enjoyed hunting and raising horses. He was known for telling jokes and Saturday night dancing.

Robert was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Jo Gentry; and his parents, Herman and Sarah Gentry.

Surviving relatives are daughters Paula Mitchell, Kay (Darrell) Lang, Rhonda Archer, and Serina Brown; sister Sue (Gerald) Rooker; 13 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; and nieces Brenda Rooker and Sherry (Harry) Cramer. A service is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. on Saturday,
