Christopher Wooldridge Landry

Christopher Wooldridge Landry went to be with the Lord in early May 2022 while living in Puerto Penasco (Rocky Point), Mexico at the age of 72. Chris was born December 28, 1949 to Creighton E. and Vergie M. Landry in Biloxi, Mississippi.

Chris graduated from Shawnee High School in 1968, and studied history and music at OBU.

He started his career in sales at White Lumber then became manager at Shawnee Discount Lumber. During his time in Shawnee, Chris became President of the Shawnee Board of Education in the 1980s. Later Chris moved his family to Norman, Oklahoma where he continued working in sales, but in the auto industry where he won numerous awards.

Chris loved to sing and travel. As a past-time he enjoyed singing with Conway Twitty and Tommy Nelson, as well as others. Upon retirement, Chris moved to Washington then a few years later moved to Puerto Penasco (Rocky Point), Mexico where he lived until his death.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Creighton E. and Vergie M. Landry, son Justus, and brother Robin.

He is survived by his remaining children, Jessica Watson, Jerrisa Monks, Abby and Hanna Landry, grandchildren, Elisha, Riley, Madison, Gavriel, Sage, Xane, and Baron. His brothers and their wives, George & Teresa Landry, Ken & Cherita Landry, sister-in-law Judy Landry, numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
