Steven Daniel Nash

Steve passed away the morning of June 22nd, 2022 in the process of doing what he loved, which is working in the oilfield, his final resting place was sitting in front of his rig in Hobbs, New Mexico. Steve was an independent drilling consultant and worked in various capacities for 40 years. Steve was born on March 12, 1961 to Grady and Ruby Nash in Bakersfield, California and was to be the youngest child of 8 children.

Steven Graduated from Arvin High School as the Valedictorian and went on to earn a degree from Humboldt University in Northern California.

After college he met and married his lifelong love Donna Marie Voyles, they moved to various States, Cities and Mexico, they eventually settled in Shawnee, Oklahoma where they called home and raised their 3 children.

Steven is survived by Donna Nash, his wife of 40 years, three children Christopher, Sean and Megan Nash, eleven grandchildren Jaylynn Nash, Jacee Nash, Baysil Nash, Jarah Nash , Bennet Nash, Cavin Nash, Sye Nash, Conner Nash, Crew Woods, Oakly Woods, and Riot Nash.

Also survived by three brothers: Grady Nash, Jr., David Nash and James Nash. Nieces: Korrena Stephens, Melissa Crandell, and Wendy Williams. Nephews: Chad Nash, Conrad Nash, Roger Kidwell, and Greg Nash.

Steven had multiple great Nieces and Nephews to include Krystalyn Williams, Drew Williams, Preslee Williams, Alexis Buchanan, John Buchanan, Oliver Buchanan, Sebastian Buchanan, Titus Buchanan, Kayla Grundorf, Nathan Grundorf, Owen Grundorf, Taylor Nash, Jacqueda Phillips, Klaressa Phillips and many more on his wife’s side of the family.

He was loved by all of his family and extended family. Remembered by any and all who have had the pleasure of meeting or working with him. Through his life he left many anecdotal stories to be shared by friends and family as well as many legends he left in his field of expertise. Services will be held at his home in Shawnee, Oklahoma on Saturday, July 2nd, 2022 at 3 p.m.
