SHAWNEE – Dust off your ruby slippers and make your way to Woodland Park in downtown Shawnee on Saturday, October 26, because there’s no place like Shawnee for a magical fall celebration! From 1-3 p.m., the Enchanted Woodland event will cast its spell over downtown Shawnee, offering Fall Fest Fun and family-friendly activities for all ages.

A Day of Enchantment Awaits

Step into the world of Halloween magic with exciting activities and contests that will delight the entire family. Whether you’re a young witch or wizard, or just looking for a heartwarming good time, the Enchanted Woodland has something for everyone:

  • Free Inflatables for All Ages: Jump, bounce, and climb through fun-filled inflatables that are sure to entertain kids and adults alike.
  • Pumpkin Decorating Contest at 1 p.m.: Bring your most creative, pre-decorated pumpkin to the stage for a chance to win the top prize.
  • Costume Contests at 2 p.m.: Show off your spooky or creative look in our costume contests for:
    • Little Kids (Under Age 5)
    • Bigger Kids (Ages 6-15)
    • Pets (Lions, tigers, and dogs—oh my! All pets must be leashed or caged.)
  • Mummy Madness: The first 250 mummy-clad participants will receive a special treat at the Visit Shawnee tent—so start wrapping yourself in fun.
  • Jacob’s Ladder Challenge by OBU Athletics: Feeling brave? Take on the thrilling Jacob’s Ladder and test your strength and agility in this high-climbing challenge for all ages.

Spooky Sounds and Live Music

Get into the Halloween spirit with eerie spooky sounds from KGFF Radio, setting the mood for a hauntingly good time. Plus, enjoy live performances from local musicians by Guitar Vault, bringing the best tunes to keep the energy high throughout the event.

Special Treats and Surprises

  • The first 100 kids to arrive after 1:00 PM will receive a free ice cream treat—no tricks, just tasty sweets!
  • Meet Shawnee’s real-life heroes as you explore a fire truck, ambulance, and police patrol car—fun for curious little minds!
  • Vendors will be on hand with 500+ giveaway items, including Halloween tattoos, spider rings, and other fun treats to keep the kids entertained.

Vendor Information

Local businesses can join in the fun as information-only vendors with no fee to set up. Vendors are encouraged to bring 500 items for giveaway and set up either a table, canopy, or a “Trunk-or-Treat” display. Spots are first come, first serve, with setup to be completed by 12:30 PM.
