Members of the Shawnee Fire Department on Saturday took part in the OKC 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb, honoring those who gave their lives in the line of duty on September 11, 2001.

Climbing 110 floors in full gear, Shawnee’s firefighters symbolically completed the heroic journey that so many began that day, SFD released.

“This powerful tribute is a reminder of the courage, sacrifice, and brotherhood that defines the fire service.

We climb not only to remember the fallen, but to ensure they are never forgotten.”
