On Friday, Shawnee Public Schools officially cut the ribbon on a brand-new mural at Jefferson Elementary School. The mural, featuring Thomas Jefferson and joyful students at play, was brought to life by talented local artist Nicholas Blanchard.

“This vibrant piece is more than just a mural, it’s a celebration of learning, imagination, and the renewal of our elementary schools. It also reflects our ongoing commitment to highlighting creativity in our community,” SPS released.
