Patsy Ruth Lakin passed from this life on June 9, 2022. Patsy was born December 23, 1946 in Bakersfield, CA to Hilbert and Pearl Whited. She attended Bethel High School. Patsy married Lindell Lakin on December 7, 1975 in Shawnee, OK. She worked as an insurance agent until she retired, but her children always saw her as an expert mom.

Patsy’s proudest moment was marrying Lindell and they had been together for 46 years. She always supported him in his endeavors and made their house a home.

Patsy’s hobbies included singing, shopping and having her girls’ day out in which many meals were had at Sunnyside. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents Hilbert and Pearl Whited; sister-in-law Ann Whited and her two boys Terry and Larry who passed at birth.

She is survived by her husband Lindell Lakin of the home; son Jerry and wife Christy Strain of Checotah, OK; daughters Sarah Troxel Price of Shawnee, OK, and Nikki Sparkman and husband Bryan of Jones, OK; brothers Rick Whited and wife Judy of Shawnee, OK, Ed Whited and wife Pat of Shawnee, OK, and Tony Whited of Pink, OK; sister Ella Foisey of Florida; 11 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 15, 2022 at Resthaven Funeral Home.
