Ullie Francis Melot Jr. walked on June 22 of intestinal complications. Born in Shawnee on August 26, 1939, he was 82 years of age.

A graduate of Shawnee High School in 1957. Ullie (Chuck as he liked to be called) is survived by his three sons, Gary, Brian and Keith, six grandchildren and seven greatgrandchildren.

Chuck enjoyed family, food, flying and travelling. Before retiring from Tinker, he was a successful machine shop owner in California. Always a loving, caring father proud of his Potawatomi heritage.

He recently returned from one of his favorite trips to visit family in California with a stop in Las Vegas on our return. His last days were very enjoyable and looking forward to his next adventure. He will be greatly missed and appreciated, always loved and remembered.
