Doyle Lovoyd Black of McLoud, Oklahoma, went Home to be with the Lord on August 22, 2022, at the age of 82. Doyle was born in Tishomingo, Oklahoma, on September 25, 1939, the son of Jess James Black and Mary Ellen Black. He grew up in Tishomingo, and as a young man, heard his country’s call and enlisted in the Army. Doyle… “I was a supervisor of 139 people” …something he was very proud of and always told anyone who asked about his work at Wilsey Bennett. He is preceded in death by his first wife, Jo Ann, his second wife, Virgie, and multiple infant children; his parents, Jess and Mary Black; four brothers, Willard Black, Jesse Allen Black, John Lewis Black, and James Leonard Robertson, and three sisters, Betty Jo Black, Ruby Leota Black, and Dorothy Louise Black. Left behind to treasure his memory are his son, Doyle Black and his wife, Amanda, and a daughter, Jerri Black; five grandchildren, William Magruder, Victoria Magruder, Jacob Magruder, Katie Black, and Doyle Lovoyd Black III, and several greatgrandchildren; his siblings, three brothers, Eddie Black, Jerry Black, and Jesse Robertson, and two sisters, Erma Pursley, and Sharon Moore; along with a host of loving nieces, nephews, extended family, and dear friends.
