Leo Fredrick French

Leo Fredrick French entered the world on December 28th, 1933 in Lexington, OK at 3am to his mother Hattie Mae (Bryant) and father Mose H. French.

Early to rise, ready to go and always the one waiting on everyone.

He would marry his sweetheart Wanda Rae Forbes on April 12, 1952 at East Main Church of Christ in Shawnee, OK. They would go on to raise three children – Kimberly Kay, Michael Dale and Jeffery Leo French; who would in turn raise families of their own.

Leo was a “man of all trades” who was most at home tinkering in his shop, coffee drinking with his friends and volunteering his time helping others as an active Freemason. Leo also enjoyed traveling the country together with Wanda, often times with close friends and family.

Leo survived the passing of his wife and adult children late in life, but still managed to impact those around him with his kindness and generosity. He was selfless and thoughtful right until the very end of his life, never wanting to “make a fuss” or have anyone put out by him. Leo left to join his sweetheart Wanda Rae in the early morning hours of August 28, 2022. He is survived by his grandchildren, extended family, friends and all those he touched with his warmth and kindness.

Leo is under the care of Resthaven Funeral Home and Memorial Park. No public services will be held.
