James Herrington Hubbell, age 82, of Lincoln, Nebraska passed away on Friday, September 23, 2022. James was born July 5, 1940 to Baseball Hall of Fame player Carl and Lucille Hubbell. Jim is survived by his loving wife of 56 years Dian Hubbell; son, Ty (Gwen) Hubbell; grandchildren, Timothy and Mark Hubbell; 1 niece, Brenda Smith; many other relatives and friends.

Jim grew up in Shawnee, OK where him, his brother, and friends would swim, play baseball, fish, and go hunting. Jim enlisted in the US Army in 1960. He was stationed in Berlin, Germany and served as a machine gunner on the wall. He also played football and baseball for the military and is a member of the VFW, DAV, and American Legion.

Jim drove a truck for Yellow Freight for 28 years. He loved to play baseball, fast-pitch softball. He spent time and taught his family to hunt, fish, and play golf.
