Elizabeth Jane Boyd passed from this life on Wednesday, October 26, 2022. Elizabeth was born February 10, 1937 in Shawnee, OK to Robert and Amanda Jane (Hooten) Parrish. She received her high school diploma. Elizabeth married Kenneth Boyd on January 16, 1970 in Covina, CA. At the time, she worked as a chef for Cate School, a private boys’ school in Carpinteria, CA. Elizabeth also later owned and operated a Mexican restaurant. Cooking was a big passion in her life that she shared with her family. Together with Ken, they owned and operated Ken’s Carpet Installation.

She was a Sunday school teacher at First Baptist of Oak view and was also a part of the Shawnee baseball booster club. Elizabeth loved to spend time with her family and getting to watch her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren grow up and do the things they enjoyed. She spent her time playing softball, fishing, and coaching multiple sports. She is preceded in death by her parents Robert and Amanda (Hooten) Parrish; brothers Marshal (Buck) Parrish, James Robert (JR) Parrish, Leroy Parrish, Edward Raymond (Eddie) Parrish, Baby Chester Eugene Parrish, Rowland Parrish; sister Wanda Lee Gray; and grandson Michael Kennedy. She is survived by her husband Kenneth Boyd of Shawnee, OK; son Woody Rippetoe of McAlester, OK; daughter Carmen Kennedy and husband Ken of Ojai, CA; daughter Micheula Fletehall of Ventura, CA; son Jesse Rippetoe and wife Roberta of McAlester, OK; son Sheb Boyd and wife Jenea of Shawnee, OK; brother Robert D. Parrish of Lovington, IL; 12 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren; niece Sue Cargon; and many other nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held November 10, 2022 from 4-8PM at Resthaven Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held November 11, 2022 at 10AM in Resthaven’s chapel.
