Raynelle Denise Griffith, age 66, of Tecumseh, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 2, 2022, after suddenly falling ill, in Shawnee, Oklahoma.

Raynelle was born December 10, 1955, in Amarillo, Texas, to Theodore “TB” and Herloise Martin. She grew up and attended school in Central Texas. After high school, she moved to Maryland and had one son. Following her divorce, Raynelle and her son Thomas McCurry III, moved to Tecumseh to be close to Raynelle’s parents, TB and Herloise. Raynelle was employed at Eric’s Pharmacy as a receptionist for many years, where she greeted everyone with kindness and a smile, up until the day before her passing.

Raynelle was a kind, compassionate, and selfless woman. Everything she did was done with love and with others in mind. When she was in the room, it radiated warmth and light, as if she was sunshine itself. Raynelle gave in death, as she did in life; Raynelle was an organ, eye, and tissue donor .Through that generous decision, Raynelle will touch countless others as the family members, friends and communities of those who receive her donations will be forever impacted by her gifts of life, made possible only through her last selfless act.

Raynelle Denise Griffith is preceded in death by her father, TB Martin, and her mother, Herloise Martin. Raynelle leaves behind her son, Thomas McCurry III, of Yukon, Oklahoma; granddaughter Niccole McCurry, of Yukon, Oklahoma; her beloved best friend, Natalie Hale, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, her beloved dogs, as well as the many wonderful coworkers and regular customers at Eric’s Pharmacy.

In lieu of flowers, Thomas respectfully asks that memorial contributions be directed to the American Heart Association.
