The Maybee-Gerrer Museum of Art presents Form and Function: Wood Sculpture from the Collection of the Forest Heritage Center on display through June 29. sponsor MGMoA Volunteers will host the opening reception Friday, May 2, from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Larry Slies will give a woodturning demonstration.
The Maybee-Gerrer Museum of Art presents Community Art Day Saturday, May 3, from 1-3 p.m. The day’s event is Balsa Foam Carving.
Both events are free and open to the public.
April 16-30 the Oklahoma State University Gardiner Art Gallery features the 2008 Annual Juried Student Exhibition. The event includes a competitive, juried exhibition of student work from all levels of undergraduate study in Studio Art and Graphic Design.
Jurors include Julia Kirk for Studio Art, Becky Gelder for Graphic Design and William Anthes for Art History. A reception is scheduled for April 27 from 2-3, followed by an awards ceremony from 3-4.
